1. Scope
This policy covers the game server, the launcher, the account API, this site and our Discord. The Dovahzul Roleplay team is the controller of the data described here.
2. The data we collect
We collect only what the service uses:
- Discord account: when you sign in, Discord sends us your ID, username, email and avatar. We never receive your password.
- Sessions: the IP address and the browser or app of each sign-in, to keep you signed in and to detect unauthorised access.
- Game: your characters, with name, appearance, inventory, gold, progress, position in the world, clans, properties and achievements, plus a history of item and gold transactions.
- Presence: which server you are on, when you joined, when you were last seen and your place in the queue.
- Text chat: the messages you send in game pass through the server and are recorded in its logs, for moderation.
- Voice: if you turn the microphone on, the audio is streamed in real time through our voice server (LiveKit) to nearby players only. We do not record or store your voice.
- Photos: the pictures you take with the in-game camera and save to the gallery.
- Diagnostics: errors from the game and the interface, with the place in the world where they happened.
- Patrons: the plan and period of the contribution. Payment happens on Stripe, which tells us whether it went through; we never receive or store card or bank details.
- Moderation: reports, warnings and sanctions tied to your account.
3. The launcher and the site
The launcher keeps the Skyrim path, your preferences and the chosen microphone on your computer; none of it is sent to us. It contacts our CDN to download mods and updates, and like any download that reveals your IP address.
This site has no sign-in. It loads the Google tag (Google Ads), which may use cookies and collect data from your browser to measure how our ads perform. You can block those cookies in your browser or in your Google account’s ad settings without losing anything on the site.
4. What we use it for
We use the data to create and keep your account, run the game and save your progress; to moderate, prevent cheating and apply sanctions; to fix errors and improve the server; to deliver Patron benefits; and to tell you about the service.
The legal bases are performance of the contract these terms form (the game itself), legitimate interest (security, moderation and diagnostics), your consent (microphone and advertising cookies) and compliance with legal obligations. We do not sell your data.
5. What other players see
In game, other players see your character’s appearance, what you say in chat within their range, and hear your voice when they are close. The server keeps players anonymous: someone who has not been introduced to your character sees a stranger code, not the name. Your Discord name never shows in game.
6. Who we share it with
We share data only with those the service needs to work:
- Discord, for sign-in and for our community server;
- OpenRouter, which provides the AI models behind the team’s internal tools and may receive a player’s character name, Discord name, progress and inventory when staff look that data up;
- Stripe, which processes Patron payments under its own privacy policy;
- the hosting, database, storage and CDN providers where the server, the API, photos and mods live;
- LiveKit, which streams voice audio in real time;
- Google, through this site’s advertising tag;
- authorities, when the law requires it or when it is needed to protect someone.
7. International transfers
Some of these providers store data outside Brazil. In those cases we choose services that offer protection compatible with the LGPD.
8. How long we keep it
Your account and characters are kept for as long as the account exists. Diagnostics are deleted after 30 days. Sessions and play tickets expire on their own. Server logs, chat included, are kept for a limited period, long enough to look into reports.
When you ask for your account to be deleted, we erase its personal data. We keep only the Discord ID and sanction history of banned accounts, so a ban cannot be evaded, and whatever the law requires us to keep.
9. Your rights
Under the LGPD you may ask at any time for:
- confirmation that we process your data, and a copy of it;
- correction of incomplete or wrong data;
- deletion of your account and personal data;
- portability of your data;
- the list of who we share it with;
- withdrawal of a consent you gave.
10. How to make a request
Open a ticket on our official Discord from the same account you play with, so we can confirm the request is yours. We answer within 15 days. If you are not satisfied with the answer, you may complain to Brazil’s National Data Protection Authority (ANPD).
11. Security
Access to data is limited to the team members who need it, connections are encrypted and we store no passwords. No system is unbreakable; if an incident could affect you, we will tell you and notify the ANPD as the law requires.
12. Minors
The service is for adults 18 and over only. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, it will be closed and its data erased. Parents or guardians can let us know on Discord.
13. Changes
We may update this policy when the service changes. Significant changes are announced on Discord and the date at the top of this page changes.
