How to join Dovahzul Roleplay

The alpha is open. Joining takes three steps, and the launcher handles two of them.

  1. 01

    Join the Discord

That is where the server rules, update and maintenance notices come out, and where you find the people you will be playing with. The launcher is only downloaded from this site or the Discord: any other link is not ours.

    Install the launcher

The launcher finds your Skyrim install, downloads the server mod set, checks every file by hash and builds the load order. You do not touch a mod folder, install nothing by hand and need to know nothing about modding. When the server changes something, it updates itself before letting you in.

  3. 03

    Make your character

You sign in with your Discord account, pick the server and go through character creation. When the screen clears you are in Skyrim, nameless to anyone standing nearby, and the rest is up to you.

Before you download anything

You need a legitimate copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition or Anniversary Edition, on a Windows machine. The launcher looks for the Steam install and the GOG one. Pirated copies do not work and will not be supported.

You do not need any mods installed beforehand. It is better not to have them: the launcher builds the server set on a clean install, and loose mods in the game folder are the most common cause of trouble. You do not need a microphone either, though with one your voice reaches whoever is near you in the game.

What waits on the other side

Dovahzul Roleplay is a Brazilian roleplay server. People play characters, and the server is built so that this has consequences: nobody knows your name until you give it, every hold has a hierarchy people actually occupy, and what you find on the map stays found from one session to the next.

The economy turns around people. You pick two of the eight trades, and what you make is raw material for what someone else makes. Mounts are bought, saddled and called. Dragons are fought in a group, because alone it does not work.

What it costs

Nothing. It is a non-profit fan project, with no shop and no subscription. The only money involved is your copy of Skyrim, which you probably already own.
