Who it suits
This is the horse of someone who works. A miner coming down from a full vein, a lumberjack hauling logs, a trader doing the northern circuit: with saddlebags on its back, it becomes cargo transport.

How mounts work
Horses are bought from the stablemaster and wait in your stable, which holds up to five. You name it when you buy it, and you can sell it back for 40% of its price at the stable.
The bond grows while the horse is out with you, and stamina and temper grow with it. Saddles, saddlebags and blinders are bought at the stable and add speed, stamina or temper. A whistle calls your favourite horse.
